The Florist - Sending Flowers From A Distance
by Natalie Shire

I got a phone call the other day from a dear friend asking
how he could send flowers long distance. I assumed that
everyone knew how to do this. He didn't, which explains why
I never received a bouquet for my birthday!
Sending flowers to someone living far away from you is as
easy as sending them to someone living right down the
street. If you give flowers frequently, you'll have a
trusted florist who will help you send flowers over a
distance. If you rarely give flowers, you'll be pleased to
know that it is easy to do and your recipient will
appreciate you for sending a lovely gift.
Your options for sending flowers are to make quick phone
call or go on-line. Either way, get your credit card handy.
Usually, it is least expensive and easiest to call the
florist you normally use, or if you don't normally visit
florists, call the one in your neighborhood. Select a
bouquet in your preferred price range, tell the florist the
delivery address and any message you'd like sent by note
with the flowers. Your trustworthy local florist will then
place the order with a shop they trust nearest your
recipient's address. Usually, the local shop will charge a
small service fee for being the go-between in the
transaction.
If you trust your neighborhood florist, you can be sure
that your flowers are delivered. Going to an on-line
florist is usually a safe bet, too. Using any search
engine, type "online florist." The search results will
provide you with dozens of options. Select one, visit their
online store, choose a bouquet in your price range, enter
the information for delivery anywhere in the world. An
advantage of online florists is that they have greater
access to a variety of flowers, whether they're in season
or out. If you comparison shop, you'll find that prices are
not always higher online. It's competitively priced.
Another excellent feature of online florists is that they
usually have an option where you can set up an ongoing
delivery to someone special, so that they receive a gift of
flowers from you regularly throughout the year.
The secrets of ordering flowers to be sent to someone in
another city are really not all that difficult. You can
send flowers to that special person all year round with
ease. So, go ahead, get on the phone or the internet, and
send a beautiful bouquet to one of the people you love
most!
